Two months ago, Foreign Policy ran photos of children touched by the revolutions across the Arab world. Then the region was filled with a rich sense of optimism coming off the highs of the largely peaceful turnovers in Tunisia and Egypt. Now, bullets and bloodshed seem to be more common than posters and protest chants.
The upswing in violence means that the situation for children living in Libya, Syria, and Yemen is more precarious than ever. UNICEF, the U.N. program focused on children, and organizations like Save the Children have issued a string of warnings about youth health and safety in these countries, especially Libya. Earlier this week, NATO warplanes bombed the Libyan capital, Tripoli, with Libyan television reporting the deaths of at least 19 people. According to Save the Children, the youth population of Tripoli is estimated to be 700,000, including this young boy, wearing a military outfit, pictured in the city's Green Square on April 19.

These poor kids...
I tell you what, I feel so bad for these kids. It sucks so much for them to have to live with the types of issues and conditions that are going on over there, especially when they are innocent to it all. It just doesn't seem fair that some kid are born as wealthyaffiliates of their families and basically born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Then these kids over there and in other poor places around the world are struggling just to survive.
And then kids in America and other rich countries are throwing fits when mommy and daddy don't buy them a brand new Mercedes Benz for thir 16th birthday - and these kids are happy just to get some food. Maybe this is why the worldwide brands for American kids and Americans in general is one of spoiled, and selfish. It's sad that everyone in America and other rich countries are worried how nice their car is when we have kids starving just wanting a meal; I woukd say a hot meal, but I think most of them would be satisfied with s meal whether it's hot, warm, or cold.
It's such a shame. When you hear and see what kinds of conditions these kids are living with and the daily situations that they are struggling with it will make you feel like a spoiled brat for some of the things we want and THINK we need as a richer country.
There should really be more programs in place to help these poor kids...

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360
I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, MadCent. com
