Global Warming

It's too darn hot -- pretty much everywhere.

Thumbs Up

I agree. It is too damn hot. If you have ever been to the Philippines, then you would know how I feel.

Unfortunately, I don't think its ever gonna change. I think I could use a vacation somewhere in Canada.

Can anyone recommend some Nova Scotia Resorts ?

Bottled water

The environment would be better off if there was not so much trapped water.

FREE THE WATER!

The water is oppressed! It is confined to bottles and pipes and fat people. There is less snow and ice and rain without this water circulating in the circle of waterlife. There is a lot of water out there that just sits trapped in a vessel.

Humans love to trap things in cages and compartments. There are proably millinos of dogs and humans who live confined lives and are not free because their ownership is afraid to let them out. Scared to let the water run.

Nice photography

Very amusing I was expecting some very serious piece about the suffering of polar bears as the ice flows break up. I love the photography and who can argue with a girl in a bikini (well other than feminists that is). However something tells me the Global Warming lobby - not a group known for its sense of humor - are NOT going to be singing FP's praises for your somewhat humorous look at Global Warming. I rather enjoyed it though - the people look like they are having a real party in the hot weather. So lets leave facing the music over the dire consequences of global warming till another day. I fancy a swim now as much too hot not too - wonder why?

Major cause of global warming

Another major cause of global warming is deforestation. Deforestation is to be blamed for 25% of all carbon dioxide release entering the atmosphere, by the cutting and burning of about 34 million acres of trees each year. Save global warming

well!

Average temperatures in Alaska, western Canada, and eastern Russia have risen at twice the global average, according to the multinational Arctic Climate Impact Assessment report compiled between 2000 and 2004. Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing, and the region may have its first completely ice-free summer by 2040 or earlier. Polar bears and indigenous cultures are already suffering from the sea-ice loss. Glaciers and mountain snows are rapidly melting—for example, Montana's Glacier National Park now has only 27 glaciers, versus 150 in 1910. In the Northern Hemisphere, thaws also come a week earlier in spring and freezes begin a week later. Coral reefs, which are highly sensitive to small changes in water temperature, suffered the worst bleaching—or die-off in response to stress—ever recorded in 1998, with some areas seeing bleach rates of 70 percent.

global warninng

Nowadays everyone knows that the US is the world's biggest polluter, and that with only one 20th of the world's population it produces a quarter of its greenhouse gas emissions. But the US government, in an abdication of leadership of epic proportions, is refusing to take the problem seriously - and Britain, presumably because Blair wishes not to offend George Bush - is beginning to fall behind too. Emissions from the US are up 14% on those in 1990 and are projected to rise by a further 12% over the next decade.

We are getting late in taking actions!

This global warming is going to end the human race from this earth and I think we are already late in taking actions and it is something irreversible now. Things are getting out of control with all this pollution and deforestation that is happening today at the rapid rate.

You're asking us to project a major change in history over 50 years into the future. For one, America might not exist. numero rio Who knows, maybe Hitler would've won WW2 and America would've gone into such a depression that it fell apart and never got back together because there was no war to bring the people together..
