The planets are out of alignment in India

The U.S. ambassador to New Delhi informed Indian Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon "that he will go on a hunger strike until the UPA government submits the IAEA safeguards agreement to the Board of Governor," according to a 2008 cable. In a separate meeting, the U.S. envoy noted "that the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn in April would prevail on the Board to look more favorably on the [nuclear] agreement."

The cable continues in that vein for almost 1,000 words, discussing planetary alignments' effects on Indian politics and requesting $250 million to rotate the U.S. chancery 90 degrees, in order to provide more sunlight and eliminate shade, "which darkens the U.S. perspective towards India."

Had the U.S. ambassador drunk a spiked mango lassi before sending the cable? Not quite -- the explanation for this new age mumbo-jumbo lies in the cable's date: April 1. "Happy April Fool's Day from Incredible India!" it concludes.

how about that

How about that, if the US isn't beating there
war drum they are handing out cash.

That is what really pisses me of about the US, they don't mind handing out money to all these other countries, but what about our own people and economy:(

Time will tell

I suppose there really is no knowing of whos corrupt, who's joking and who is really trying to lead a country (even in the lower tier) in an ethical manner. I think the april fools is a bit cocky and undue, as there is far too much political ethical issues and problematics as it is. It's quite certain that we will see many other unearthed stories of this nature revealed in the future; we can only hope that we can sustain faith in authority figures there after.

Confused? lol

I'm a little confused now with who's legit . This whole wikileaks thing is crazy how so much information got let out. the best one was the one about the huge habanero farm making all those weapons using the pepper to blind people. Which is actually a really good idea because that way they're not killing anyone.

Wikileaks you missed

The Vietnam Karaoke one is my favorite, but it is amazing how there are so many interesting stories in the Wikileaks cables that we miss because only the big scandals are being reported. This was a great article and I would love to read more about the Wikileaks that no one is talking about. I was reading african mango reviews the other day and saw some Wikileaks stories.

I don't like Terror

And Palestinian land will shrink, suicide bombers will respond, rockets will be launched and Israelis killed. Now Hezbollah and Sunnis have started up again in Lebanon. And Iran is powering up its nuclear capacity. Israel may feel impelled to react at some point if it calculates either Lebanon or Iran needs to be nipped in the bud. Add Syria to the toxic mix in Lebanon; and if things boil over there then Palestine will be left to sit and stew on the perennial international back burner. Hope, at this point, is not even a diamond in the rough. porno porno porno porno web tasarım
