Dhaka, Bangladesh, 850,000 exposed
Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is only 13 meters above sea level at its highest point. It sits between four flood-prone rivers and at the foot of the Himalayas. Researchers are concerned both about the impact of rising sea levels and also increasing snowmelt with higher average temperatures.
