Political demonstrations continued in Egypt over the weekend. Supporters of former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsy, who was ousted from office on July 3, said they will continue their protests until he is reinstated. On Monday, July 8, the protests turned violent as clashes between Morsy supporters and the Egyptian military outside the Egyptian Republican Guard building in Cairo left 42 dead and 200 injured.
