As the United States eases travel restrictions, Cubans are ready to cash in.

Shifting sands: In the lead-up to the Summit of the Americas, to be held April 17 to 19 in Trinidad and Tobago, a bipartisan group of American legislators in the U.S. Congress has introduced legislation to ease long-standing travel restrictions to Cuba. The group comprises both liberal Democrats and Republican free-traders, claiming increased economic interaction between the United States and Cuba would benefit both countries. Above, a poster of sand and surf promotes travel to Cuba at FITUR, an international tourism trade fair in Madrid, on January 30, 2008.
